Lifers at Fort Huachuca

No, not the grizzled sergeants who are going to stay in the Army until they're kicked out. For my non-birding friends, "lifers" are "life birds" – birds that you have never seen before. I got four lifers this morning in Huachuca Canyon on the Army base: Elegant Trogon (looks like a Disney character), Bridled Titmouse, Mexican Jay, and Red-faced Warbler. And saw a couple of others for only the second or third time: Painted Redstart and Hepatic Tanager. More details later. I'm packing up and heading for New Mexico.
